Temperature Drops Across Oman Saiq Records Lowest Temperature

MUSCAT: According to the Civil Aviation Authority, the lowest temperature recorded yesterday was in Saiq, reaching a chilly 5.1ºC. This temperature dip marked one of the coldest days in recent months, sending residents to pull out their warmest clothing.

Other regions across Oman also experienced significant drops in temperature. Yanqul recorded 10.9°C, while Mhadha reached 12.1°C. These readings reflect the shift in weather patterns, indicating the onset of colder conditions across the Sultanate.

In addition, Haima followed closely with 12.3°C, while Al-Mazyouna recorded temperatures of 12.7°C. Thumrait also registered a cool 12.9°C, signaling that the weather is changing across a wide range of areas, especially in the more elevated and desert regions.

Muqshin and Al Qabil were also among the areas that recorded low temperatures, with both areas reporting a minimum of 13.3°C. These temperature shifts are expected to persist throughout the week, marking the arrival of a cold spell in Oman.
