Supreme Judicial Council Launches Unified Digital Platform ‘Qadaa’

MUSCAT: The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) of Oman has announced the launch of ‘Qadaa’, a unified digital platform aimed at transforming the judicial and legal landscape in the country. The platform is designed to streamline the handling of judicial transactions, offering a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly interface for the public and legal professionals alike. With this new system, the SJC intends to modernize and digitize a wide range of legal processes, from filing cases to tracking court proceedings. This move is part of Oman’s ongoing efforts to enhance public sector services through technological advancements.

The launch of ‘Qadaa’ is expected to significantly reduce paperwork and manual processes within the judiciary, making it easier for individuals and lawyers to access services. By shifting to a digital platform, it ensures quicker processing times and better accessibility for users across the country. Additionally, ‘Qadaa’ provides a more secure environment for handling sensitive legal documents, utilizing modern encryption and authentication methods to protect the integrity of the information. The system also enables users to track the progress of their cases in real time, providing greater transparency in judicial proceedings.

The new platform also allows the public to file legal requests and submit necessary documents electronically, eliminating the need for physical visits to courts. With this new system, individuals can access services from the comfort of their homes, saving them both time and effort. Legal professionals can also benefit from enhanced communication tools and a more organized platform for case management. The initiative is in line with the government’s Vision 2040, which seeks to improve digital infrastructure and services across all sectors in Oman.

With the introduction of ‘Qadaa’, the judicial sector in Oman is poised to become one of the most advanced in the region in terms of technology and service efficiency. The platform promises to improve the overall experience for all stakeholders, including judges, lawyers, and the general public. As the platform evolves, the SJC plans to integrate additional features and services, continuously improving the digital judicial experience. This project marks a major step towards a more modern and accessible judicial system in Oman, setting a benchmark for the future of legal transactions.
