MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology in Oman has officially launched the second edition of the ‘Makeen’ Bootcamp at the Programming Academy. This initiative is a continuation of the Ministry’s efforts to promote national digital transformation and support youth development by bridging the gap between academic education and real-world tech demands.
The ‘Makeen’ Bootcamp focuses on enhancing the digital competencies of Omani youth by offering hands-on training in programming, software development, and other high-demand technical areas. The curriculum is tailored to match current market needs, aiming to empower participants with practical knowledge that increases their employability in the digital sector.
Participants will undergo intensive sessions that cover various programming languages, modern coding practices, and real project simulations. Industry experts and certified trainers will lead the sessions, providing mentorship and ensuring that attendees are ready to meet international standards in tech innovation and software engineering.
This bootcamp aligns with Oman’s Vision 2040 goals of building a knowledge-based economy. It is also part of broader initiatives aimed at nurturing talent in emerging technologies, thereby positioning Oman as a competitive digital hub in the region. The Ministry remains committed to fostering a strong digital culture among youth and supporting innovation through continuous skill development.
