SAUDI ARABIA: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a significant Arab Cybersecurity Council event, gathering high-ranking officials, including ministers, royals, and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. The event aimed to strengthen regional cooperation in cybersecurity, addressing pressing challenges while fostering development and integration. Oman was represented by His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al-Shaidhani, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology at MTCIT, who led the delegation.
During the council meeting, critical discussions centered on the establishment of its operational framework, including the appointment of key leadership positions and the development of an Arab Cybersecurity Strategy. These efforts aim to enhance cyber resilience across the region, focusing on collaboration and proactive measures to counter emerging threats. The unveiling of the council’s logo and identity symbolized a unified approach toward achieving these goals.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Shaidhani emphasized the council’s pivotal role in addressing modern cybersecurity challenges.
