ROP Arrests Fifteen Women In Seeb

MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police’s Muscat Governorate Police Command conducted a targeted operation in the Wilayat of Seeb, resulting in the arrest of fifteen women suspected of engaging in immoral acts. The operation was carried out following coordinated surveillance and intelligence gathering, underscoring the ROP’s commitment to upholding public decency and security across the governorate.

Among those detained, six were Pakistani nationals, three were Iranian, three were Syrian, two were Egyptian, and one was Bangladeshi. Officials noted that the demographic breakdown reflects the ROP’s impartial enforcement of laws, regardless of nationality or origin, while also highlighting the diverse expatriate presence within Seeb’s urban communities.

Authorities confirmed that all arrested individuals are currently undergoing the prescribed legal procedures, including medical examinations, interviews, and the preparation of case files for referral to the public prosecution. The ROP emphasized that due process will be strictly followed, ensuring that suspects are treated fairly in accordance with Omani law.

This operation forms part of an ongoing campaign by the ROP to address social violations and maintain community standards. Police officials urged residents and expatriates alike to respect local customs and regulations, reminding the public that cooperation with law enforcement is essential for preserving public order and safety.
