SOUTH AL BATINAH: The Governorate of South Al Batinah witnessed a significant rise in visitors to its historical landmarks during 2024, marking an increase of 15.8 percent compared to the previous year. According to official data, the number of visitors reached 56,203 in 2024, up from 48,493 in 2023. This surge highlights the growing interest in the region’s rich cultural heritage and historical sites, which continue to attract both local and international tourists. The steady growth in visitor numbers reflects ongoing efforts to promote tourism and preserve Oman’s historical legacy.
The increase in tourist arrivals can be attributed to multiple factors, including enhanced tourism infrastructure, promotional campaigns, and improved accessibility to key heritage sites.
