Plane Crashes Into Building In California Killing Two People

CALIFORNIA: A small plane crashed into a commercial building near Fullerton Municipal Airport in California on Thursday afternoon, resulting in at least two fatalities and 18 injuries. The crash occurred around 40 kilometers southeast of Los Angeles. Authorities confirmed that two individuals were killed in the crash, but it remains unclear whether the victims were passengers on the plane or workers inside the building. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

The building, which sustained significant damage, was left with a large hole in its roof, through which smoke was seen pouring out. Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, treating some victims on-site while others were taken to nearby hospitals for further care. Among the 18 people affected by the crash, 10 were hospitalized, while eight others were treated at the location. The condition of the injured individuals remains undisclosed, but the situation has been described as chaotic in the aftermath of the crash.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported hearing a loud “boom” before the crash, with many workers rushing to evacuate the building immediately afterward. Jerome Cruz, a worker at the site, recounted the terrifying moment when the plane crashed into the roof, leading to widespread panic among those inside. Video footage from the scene showed the extensive damage to the building, as smoke continued to billow from the wreckage.

The plane involved in the incident was identified as a single-engine Van’s RV-10, a small four-seat aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the crash to determine its cause. This crash follows a similar incident near Fullerton Airport in November, which resulted in injuries. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to uncover more details about what led to the crash and its tragic consequences.
