MUSCAT: The Omani Hajj Mission for 1446 AH has announced a significant rise in satisfaction levels for services provided during this year’s pilgrimage season, reaching 96% compared to 89% in the 1445 AH season. This increase reflects improvements in facilities and services offered in Mina and Arafat camps, where pilgrims perform major rites of Hajj. The update was shared during a press conference led by Ahmed Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and head of the Omani Hajj Mission, held at the ministry’s headquarters in Muscat.
Al Rashdi noted that satisfaction with Hajj and Umrah company services in Makkah and Madinah—including awareness campaigns, logistical support, guidance, and catering—hit 98%. Security services achieved a perfect 100% satisfaction rate, while healthcare services followed closely at 99%. These high percentages underline the mission’s commitment to providing excellent care and support throughout the pilgrimage experience, ensuring safety, comfort, and spiritual readiness for Omani pilgrims.
Furthermore, satisfaction with the electronic registration system for pilgrims reached 99%, and entry and exit procedures through land and air routes recorded a 97.6% approval rate. A total of 14,000 pilgrims participated in the 1446 AH pilgrimage, with 5,122 traveling by land and 8,878 by air, achieving a 100% fulfillment rate. The seamless coordination reflects advancements in the mission’s operational planning and technological systems, aimed at streamlining the pilgrimage process for all participants.
Several initiatives were highlighted, including the “Endowment for the House of Ribat”, which supported over 150 pilgrims with more than RO 150,000 in aid. Another initiative involved mobile carts designed to assist elderly and disabled pilgrims during Tawaf and Sa’i, helping around 450 individuals complete these sacred rituals. These efforts demonstrate the mission’s focus on inclusivity, accessibility, and comprehensive care, reinforcing Oman’s dedication to enhancing the Hajj experience for its citizens.
