Omani Cultural Laboratories Project Team Established

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, has announced the formation of the Omani Cultural Laboratories project team. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s vision to enhance cultural innovation, foster creativity, and build a sustainable cultural sector in Oman. By establishing this team, the Ministry aims to encourage cultural development through collaborative research, creative experimentation, and the promotion of new ideas that support national identity and global engagement.

The Omani Cultural Laboratories project team will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising various cultural programs and initiatives. These programs will focus on key areas such as arts, literature, heritage preservation, and contemporary cultural expressions. The team will work in close coordination with local and international experts, institutions, and organizations to ensure that the initiatives are both relevant and impactful. Their mission includes identifying emerging talents, supporting creative industries, and creating platforms for dialogue and exchange across different cultural fields.

One of the major objectives of the project is to provide opportunities for young Omanis to actively participate in shaping the country’s cultural landscape. Through workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and public forums, the project seeks to empower youth by giving them the tools and resources to express their ideas and talents. The laboratories will act as incubators for cultural projects that align with Oman’s broader strategic goals of sustainable development, diversity, and innovation.

By establishing the Omani Cultural Laboratories project team, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth underscores its commitment to nurturing a dynamic and inclusive cultural environment. This step is part of a larger effort to position Oman as a leading center for cultural excellence in the region. The project will not only preserve and celebrate Oman’s rich heritage but also drive forward-looking cultural initiatives that contribute to national pride, creativity, and global cultural dialogue.
