MUSCAT: Oman has officially launched a national campaign to select a logo that will represent the country’s national brand. The campaign, which runs from December 26 to December 29, aims to create a visual identity that reflects Oman’s rich cultural heritage and modern aspirations. This initiative is a key milestone in Oman’s long-term strategy to strengthen its national image, both within the country and globally. It invites citizens and residents to participate in a process that will shape the visual identity of Oman for years to come.
The campaign features three logos that combine traditional Omani elements with modern design concepts. These logos were developed through a year-long collaboration between Omani and international experts. The design process involved extensive research, including 500 surveys, 128 interviews, and consultations with global branding professionals. The goal is to create a logo that not only symbolizes Oman’s history and values but also positions the country for future growth and global recognition.
Eng. Aisha Mohammed Al Saifi, Director of Oman’s Unified Promotional Nation Brand Project, emphasized the significance of the campaign and encouraged participation. She stated that every vote counts, as it will help create a national brand that authentically represents the people of Oman and their shared values. This branding initiative is an essential part of Oman’s ongoing efforts to enhance its global image, and the logo chosen will play a crucial role in conveying the country’s story to the world. It is an opportunity for Omanis and residents to take ownership of the national narrative.
The voting process is straightforward: participants must register their details, select the logo they believe best represents Oman, and cast their vote. The logo with the most votes will be unveiled in early 2025 and will serve as the cornerstone of Oman’s national branding strategy. This branding initiative is expected to enhance Oman’s global perception, contribute to economic growth, and foster social development by showcasing the country’s unique identity on the world stage.
