Oman Highlights Efforts In Education Culture And Science

MUSCAT: Oman has showcased its advancements in education, culture, and science on the international stage, reinforcing its dedication to achieving Oman Vision 2040. During a significant session, the country’s strides in these fields were emphasized, along with its collaborations with global organizations such as UNESCO, ISESCO, and ALECSO. The session highlighted Oman’s registration of five cultural heritage sites, recognition of notable Omani figures and events, and establishment of three learning cities.

Dr. Al Shaibani, in her address, focused on the importance of strengthening Oman’s presence in international forums and leveraging programs from global organizations to support national goals. She detailed the Commission’s work in fostering digital learning, future skills development, and curriculum alignment with labor market needs. The collaborative strategies outlined aim to enhance Oman’s contributions to global education and cultural dialogues.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Abri presented a visual narrative of Oman’s achievements, stressing the country’s contributions to international organizations and its alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. He reiterated the importance of partnerships in achieving both Oman Vision 2040 and broader developmental objectives. His presentation underscored the tangible impact of Oman’s initiatives in cultural preservation and global cooperation.

Assistant Secretary Badr Al Harthy reviewed progress in achieving SDG 4, focused on quality education. His working paper provided insights into the Commission’s efforts to promote education initiatives and their alignment with sustainable development. Prominent participants, including Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said and other national representatives, reflected the spirit of collaboration driving Oman’s educational and cultural achievements.
