Oman And U.S. Strengthen Private Sector Partnerships

MUSCAT: His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed Her Excellency Anna Escrohima, U.S. Ambassador to Oman, to discuss strengthening private sector ties between the two nations, emphasizing opportunities from the free trade agreement.

This meeting aimed at enhancing the economic cooperation between Oman and the U.S., with a focus on expanding private sector involvement in both countries. His Excellency highlighted that the United States is one of Oman’s key trade partners, particularly after the establishment of the free trade agreement.

The free trade agreement has played a pivotal role in boosting trade relations and attracting investments from the U.S. to Oman. It has also provided a framework for deepening bilateral cooperation, especially in sectors that benefit both economies.

Her Excellency the Ambassador pointed out that American companies have shown increasing interest in exploring the investment landscape in Oman. She emphasized the potential for further strengthening economic ties and expanding opportunities for mutual growth.

As Oman and the U.S. celebrate the 15th anniversary of this agreement, both sides are committed to building on the success of this partnership, aiming to create more opportunities for collaboration in the future. The anniversary marks a significant milestone in their long-standing relationship.
