MUSCAT: The Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Police Special Taskforce, has successfully arrested 36 expatriates for violations related to labor and residency laws in the Sultanate of Oman. The operation took place as part of ongoing efforts to enforce national regulations and ensure the orderly conduct of non-citizens residing or working within the country.
The arrests were carried out following intelligence-led monitoring and strategic coordination between departments. The detained individuals were found to be working or staying in Oman without legal documentation, breaching both labor and immigration rules. Authorities noted that such crackdowns are essential to maintain social and economic stability.
The Royal Oman Police emphasized that these efforts reflect the country’s commitment to upholding the law and curbing illegal employment and residence. They warned that legal action would be taken against those who host or employ individuals without proper permits, and urged citizens and companies to cooperate with enforcement agencies.
The arrested individuals are now undergoing legal procedures, and deportation processes may follow for those confirmed to have violated the regulations. The police called on the public to report any suspicious activities or violations related to labor and residency, reaffirming their dedication to public security and the rule of law.
