Nizwa: Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) proudly served as the Golden Sponsor for the 11th Annual Research Forum held on December 4, 2024, at the Oman Across the Ages Museum in Wilayat of Manah, A’Dakhiliyah. The forum, themed “Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” brought together over 270 participants, including scientists, academics, and researchers, to discuss how innovation can drive success and foster economic growth in the region.
Her Excellency Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration between research, innovation, and the economy. She also announced a new program to establish and operate innovation and technology transfer centers at higher education institutions. This initiative aims to help innovators and entrepreneurs convert research into commercial ventures.
MCBS students showcased their startups and innovative projects at the forum, reflecting the college’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs. The event also provided an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange among participants from academic, governmental, and business sectors, further promoting a knowledge-based economy and sustainable development.
