MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued four significant Royal Decrees on Wednesday, enhancing Oman’s global relations. The first decree ratified the Oman-Chile Air Services Agreement, which facilitates the establishment of direct air transport links between the two nations. This agreement is expected to improve connectivity, foster tourism, and support economic growth by enhancing trade opportunities between Oman and Chile.
The second decree ratified the Oman-Luxembourg Tax Agreement, an important step in bolstering financial cooperation between the two countries. This agreement aims to prevent double taxation, which can benefit businesses and investors by ensuring that tax obligations are clear and fair. It is also expected to increase the ease of doing business between Oman and Luxembourg, further cementing their bilateral economic ties.
The third decree concerns the ratification of the Oman-Chad Air Transport Agreement. This agreement will enhance direct air connections between Oman and Chad, promoting easier travel and trade between the two nations. By facilitating air transport, it is expected to contribute to the strengthening of diplomatic and economic relations, helping both countries grow their mutual interests in business and tourism.
Finally, the fourth decree ratified the Oman-Australia Air Transport Agreement. This agreement sets the framework for direct flights between Oman and Australia, promoting better connectivity and cooperation in various sectors, including tourism and commerce. By enabling easier travel, it aims to foster stronger people-to-people ties and boost economic activities between the two nations.
