Muscat: His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al-Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, delivered an address emphasizing the Council’s commitment to national responsibility and legislative progress.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome you this morning as we open the third session,” Sheikh Al-Khalili said. He expressed appreciation for the productive discussions of the previous sessions, commending the members for their diligence and dedication to the Council’s goals. He also thanked the General Secretariat, its staff, and the Royal Oman Police for supporting the Council’s operations. The session’s agenda includes critical discussions on the draft law regarding individual income tax, referred by the Council of Ministers under Article 49 of the Council of Oman Law. Additionally, the Council will review a report on its activities, reflecting its ongoing efforts in legislative and oversight roles.
