Higher Education Admission Center Continues Preference Modifications

MUSCAT: The Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation is currently accepting preference modification requests for undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025/2026. This important phase is scheduled to remain open until Thursday evening, allowing prospective students to adjust their program choices and preferences before the final admission decisions are made. The center encourages all applicants to carefully review their options to maximize their chances of securing a spot in their desired fields of study.

As of Tuesday morning, the center reported that a total of 42,907 students have successfully completed their registrations for the upcoming academic year. Among these registered candidates, 19,988 are male students while 22,919 are female students, reflecting a growing number of female applicants pursuing higher education opportunities across the Sultanate. The figures indicate a steady interest in academic advancement and a positive trend toward gender balance in enrollment numbers.

HEAC continues to emphasize the importance of submitting accurate and timely preferences, as these modifications play a critical role in the allocation of available seats across various universities and colleges.
