HH Sayyid Theyazin Chairs Oman’s Committee For Expo 2025 Osaka

MUSCAT: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, led the meeting of the main committee responsible for the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan. The session, held in Muscat today, provided an update on the preparations for Oman’s involvement in this global event. The committee reviewed the ongoing construction of Oman’s pavilion, which is in its final stages, and the commencement of test activities that will ensure the pavilion’s readiness for the Expo. The event, set to take place in Osaka from April to October 2025, will serve as a significant platform for Oman to showcase its cultural, technological, and developmental achievements on a global scale.

During the meeting, HH Sayyid Theyazin emphasized the importance of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025, urging that the pavilion should highlight the country’s unique position in the world. He acknowledged the tireless efforts of the committee and other supporting organizations in ensuring that the pavilion meets the expectations of the Sultanate’s vision for global representation. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED), and Oman Environmental Services Holding Company (Be’ah), among others. These partnerships are crucial in strengthening Oman’s presence at Expo 2025, ensuring that the country is represented with the highest level of professionalism and innovation.

A detailed presentation was also shared during the meeting, highlighting the progress of Oman’s pavilion design and preparations for the Expo.
