MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has apprehended four Asian nationals in connection with drug possession, further intensifying the nation’s ongoing crackdown on narcotics and illicit substances. The arrests took place in North Al Batinah Governorate following a targeted operation by anti-narcotics units, acting on precise intelligence about the suspects’ involvement in drug activities.
According to ROP officials, the accused were found in possession of quantities of crystal meth and heroin. The confiscated substances were seized during a surprise raid on a private residence, where law enforcement authorities conducted a thorough search. The police confirmed that the suspects intended to distribute the drugs within local communities, posing a significant threat to public safety and health.
Authorities emphasized the importance of public cooperation in tackling the drug menace, urging residents to report suspicious activities immediately.
