Christopher Castillo, 33, matched with a woman on a dating app and asked her to pick him up, promising an evening together. Instead of heading to dinner or coffee, he directed her straight to a local bank.
Once there, Castillo went inside while the woman waited in her car, unaware of his intentions. Moments later, he sprinted out with $1,000 in cash after threatening the teller with an antique pistol. Shocked and panicked, the woman began to drive as he jumped into the car.
Police, alerted by the bank, quickly tracked the vehicle and stopped it within minutes. Castillo was arrested on the spot, and the woman was detained but later cleared of any wrongdoing after investigators confirmed she had no part in the plan.
