MUSCAT: Firefighting units from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) swiftly responded to a significant fire incident reported within a factory in the Wilayat of Barka, located in South Al Batinah Governorate. The fire originated among piles of discarded tires and waste materials, which quickly intensified due to the flammable nature of the contents.
Upon arrival, CDAA teams assessed the scope of the blaze and deployed multiple suppression techniques to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures and surrounding industrial zones. The operation required coordinated efforts, efficient maneuvering of firefighting equipment, and strict adherence to safety protocols to protect both personnel and infrastructure.
Thanks to the rapid and professional response, the fire was brought under control without any reported casualties. Emergency personnel continued to monitor the site post-extinguishment to prevent any re-ignition and to ensure full cooling of the affected areas. The factory was temporarily secured while an investigation into the cause of the fire was initiated.
