DUBAI: Dubai residents can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies today, particularly over northern, eastern, and coastal areas. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted a chance of rainfall as these clouds develop. Additionally, a significant drop in temperatures is forecasted, with coastal areas experiencing highs of 19 to 21 degrees Celsius and lows ranging from 12 to 17 degrees Celsius. This shift marks a notable change in weather conditions, with cooler temperatures setting the tone for the day.
The NCM has issued warnings for those planning to visit the sea, as very rough conditions are expected in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough conditions are anticipated in the Oman Sea. Strong winds over the sea are expected to exacerbate the situation, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/hr along the coastal areas. These winds will also cause blowing dust inland, reducing visibility and potentially impacting daily activities.
Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid swimming, diving, or engaging in marine activities due to the rough sea conditions. The NCM has specifically urged the public to prioritize safety by staying away from the water during this period. The combination of strong winds and rough seas creates hazardous conditions that are best avoided to prevent accidents.
While the cooler weather offers some respite from the usual heat, it also brings challenges that require vigilance. The changing conditions underline the importance of staying updated with forecasts and adhering to safety advisories. By taking necessary precautions, residents can navigate the day safely while enjoying the cooler and more refreshing climate.
