For the 91-day maturity period, a total of RO 18.2 million was allocated, with the average acceptable price recorded at RO 98.918 per RO 100. The discount rate for these bills stood at 4.33936 percent, while the average return reached 4.38683 percent, suggesting a slight increase in returns for investors willing to lock in their funds for a longer period than the 28-day bills. This continued demand for government-backed short-term securities demonstrates the stable financial environment maintained by the CBO.

The 182-day bills, valued at RO 21 million, had an average price of RO 97.780 per RO 100, with a discount rate of 4.45220 percent and an average return of 4.55332 percent. These bills, offering a relatively higher return, were favored by investors seeking to balance their portfolio with slightly longer-term secure options. The structure of these bills helps maintain liquidity in the market, providing both stability and opportunities for short-term financing needs for various financial entities.

In addition, the CBO outlined the repo rate at 5 percent for these treasury bills, and the discount rate with the Central Bank on treasury bill facilities is pegged at 5.50 percent. Treasury bills are short-term, government-issued instruments managed by the CBO and are key to providing liquidity in the financial market. They play a crucial role in meeting the government’s short-term borrowing needs while offering safe investment options for the public and financial institutions.
