MUSCAT: The newly inaugurated Al-Khanjar Perfumes and Incense Factory in Salalah marks a significant milestone in Oman’s industrial landscape. Launched in Raysut Industrial City with an investment surpassing OMR 3 million, the facility was officially opened under the patronage of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, alongside Dr. Saleh Said Masan and other prominent officials and stakeholders. The factory’s strategic establishment aligns with national goals to boost industrial diversification and support the local economy.

Spanning 6,000 square metres, the factory boasts four high-capacity production lines powered by state-of-the-art machinery and industrial technologies. The facility includes a perfume line capable of producing 15,000 bottles per day, an incense line with a capacity of 6,000 packages daily, a traditional aromatic line producing 5,000 packages, and a concentrated fragrance compound line with a daily output of 10,000 bottles. These production capabilities are designed to cater to both local and regional markets with high efficiency and product quality.

During the ceremony, a visual presentation showcased the factory’s development journey, its Omani cultural essence, and advanced production capabilities. Attendees were given a comprehensive tour of the facility, gaining insight into the meticulous processes involved in perfume and incense manufacturing. The presence of local entrepreneurs and stakeholders underscored the factory’s role in enhancing community engagement and industrial innovation.

Al-Khanjar’s launch supports broader objectives of job creation, economic growth, and increased market presence for Omani-made products. It represents a qualitative leap for Dhofar’s industrial sector, contributing to Oman’s long-term vision of sustainable development and reduced dependence on oil-based revenue. The project sets a precedent for future industrial ventures in the governorate and across the Sultanate.
