MUSCAT: During a meeting with the Council of Ministers at Al Mamourah Palace in Salalah, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik reaffirmed Oman’s firm and principled stance on the Palestinian cause and the situation in the occupied territories. The Sultan emphasized the country’s commitment to justice and international law, underscoring the importance of addressing the ongoing crisis in Gaza through peaceful and diplomatic means. This position reflects Oman’s long-standing role as a mediator and advocate for stability in the Middle East.
The Council of Ministers strongly condemned the continuous Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip, highlighting the deliberate targeting of civilians, journalists, medical teams, and essential infrastructure. It denounced actions such as obstruction of humanitarian aid, forced displacement of Palestinians, and starvation tactics, describing them as clear violations of international law, UN resolutions, and basic humanitarian principles.
