MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality has announced a key traffic improvement project aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing road safety near one of the city’s busiest intersections. The project involves separating the service road exit opposite Al Bahja Centre, which currently merges towards the Al Mawaleh intersection, a critical junction for traffic flow in the Seeb area. Officials highlighted that this measure will address long-standing challenges caused by merging lanes and unpredictable driver behavior, which have contributed to traffic delays and frequent accidents in the vicinity. The new design will ensure that vehicles exiting the service road opposite Al Bahja Centre no longer conflict with main traffic flows heading towards Al Mawaleh.
