Sohar Industrial City Localises Six New Projects Worth Millions

SOHAR: Suhar Industrial City, part of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has recently localised six major projects with a combined investment exceeding RO 27 million. The initiative reflects Oman’s ongoing efforts to boost industrial growth and economic diversification by attracting significant investment into the country’s manufacturing and production sectors. These projects are set to strengthen the industrial base and create new employment opportunities while supporting local supply chains.

The six projects will span an area of over 162,000 square meters, covering industries such as oil, steel, food, marble, tile, and wood. This strategic allocation of industrial space demonstrates a deliberate focus on sectors with high potential for value addition and long-term sustainability. Each project has been designed to meet international standards, ensuring quality production and enhancing Oman’s competitiveness in regional and global markets.

By localising these projects, Suhar Industrial City aims to reduce reliance on imports and stimulate domestic production capacity. The development is expected to foster innovation, encourage technology transfer, and provide training and skill development for the local workforce. Investors and stakeholders are optimistic that the projects will contribute significantly to industrial output while strengthening Oman’s economic resilience and diversification goals.

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates continues to actively promote Madayn as a hub for industrial investment. By facilitating infrastructure, regulatory support, and access to markets, Suhar Industrial City remains an attractive destination for both local and international investors. The recent project localisation highlights Oman’s commitment to expanding its industrial sector and creating a robust ecosystem for sustainable economic growth.
