Unlike conventional scholarships, this initiative does not cover bachelor’s or master’s degrees but focuses on higher-level research and innovation-based studies. The program aims to strengthen academic collaboration and enhance the capabilities of Omani scholars in specialized fields that contribute to the country’s development goals and global academic engagement.
According to the Directorate General of Scholarships at the Ministry, applicants must complete their submissions online via the official response code provided in the announcement. This code links to comprehensive details regarding eligibility criteria, required documentation, and step-by-step guidance on preparing applications. The Ministry has urged prospective candidates to review the instructions carefully to avoid errors that could delay processing.
The deadline for submission is November 28, 2025, and applicants must confirm that their chosen institutions are officially recognized and listed on the Ministry’s website at www.moheri.gov.om. Only accredited programs will be accepted, and executive or professional training courses are explicitly excluded from eligibility. Additionally, in cases where the program involves multiple universities, all participating institutions must have prior approval from the Ministry to ensure academic quality and compliance.
Successful candidates will also be required to complete an additional step before commencing their studies: obtaining final clearance through the Ministry’s electronic system.
