Through this initiative, members of both airlines will gain access to expanded mileage accrual and redemption opportunities across a broader global network. Effective from 1 August 2025, members of Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles programme will now enjoy greater connectivity to Oman through destinations such as Muscat, Salalah, and Khasab, as well as Oman Air’s extensive route network. Likewise, members of Oman Air’s Sindbad programme will benefit from Turkish Airlines’ vast international network, which spans Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas. This development is set to provide travelers with unprecedented flexibility and convenience in planning their journeys.
According to Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Air, this partnership is a strategic step toward enriching the Sindbad loyalty programme while significantly expanding Oman Air’s international reach. He emphasized that the agreement reflects the airline’s dedication to offering guests more rewarding travel experiences worldwide. Similarly, Ahmet Olmuştur, Chief Commercial Officer at Turkish Airlines, highlighted that this collaboration will make Miles&Smiles more accessible and attractive, allowing travelers to enjoy seamless journeys across global destinations.
