MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has introduced a new initiative aimed at empowering founding partners of innovation- and technology-driven startups by enhancing their strategic leadership skills and preparing them for international expansion. The programme targets 15 founding partners currently holding executive roles in Omani startups that are focused on innovation and technology. Eligible companies must be headquartered or primarily operated within Oman, employ at least five staff, and demonstrate strong growth potential. This targeted approach seeks to accelerate the development and global competitiveness of Omani startups in an increasingly dynamic market.
Participants in the programme will embark on a comprehensive learning journey featuring four core modules centered on strategic leadership, technical skills and tools, and human capital management. Alongside classroom learning, the programme includes international field visits to explore global best practices and hands-on practical projects designed to provide real-world experience. This multifaceted curriculum aims to equip startup leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex business environments and foster sustainable growth.
A key focus of the initiative is to cultivate a global expansion mindset among participants, enabling them to develop detailed strategies tailored to target markets and attract investment. By connecting entrepreneurs with regional and international experts and investors, the programme facilitates valuable networking opportunities that can lead to strategic partnerships and funding. These interactions are expected to play a critical role in accelerating the startups’ entry into international markets and enhancing their long-term viability.
Applications for the leadership programme will open tomorrow via the Royal Academy of Management’s registration platform and official website and will remain available until August 23.
