Oman Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression Targeting Iran Facilities

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the recent Israeli military aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran, which targeted several nuclear and military facilities across the country, including in the capital Tehran. In an official statement, Oman reiterated its firm position rejecting the escalation of violence and the targeting of sovereign nations’ infrastructure, warning that such actions would only fuel further instability in the region. The statement stressed the need for all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to resolve disputes through dialogue and peaceful means rather than military confrontation.

Oman expressed deep concern over the potential consequences of continued hostilities, highlighting that any attack on critical facilities not only threatens the security and stability of the affected nation but also poses serious risks to regional and global peace. The Sultanate urged the international community to take urgent steps to de-escalate tensions and to ensure that international laws and norms are upheld. It emphasized that respect for national sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs are cornerstones of peaceful coexistence among states.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on both Israel and Iran to refrain from further provocative actions and to prioritize diplomatic channels to address their differences. Oman reiterated its readiness to support initiatives aimed at fostering dialogue and rebuilding trust between the conflicting parties. The Sultanate underlined that a comprehensive and lasting peace can only be achieved through mutual respect, understanding, and a commitment to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Oman’s condemnation reflects its longstanding foreign policy of advocating for peace, conflict resolution, and non-intervention in the affairs of other nations. The Sultanate remains steadfast in its efforts to encourage all regional and global actors to seek peaceful solutions to disputes and to work collectively towards a secure and stable future for all peoples of the region.
