MUSCAT: The Food Safety and Quality Centre (FSQC) has issued an urgent public warning regarding the bottled drinking water brand ‘Al Furath.’ The warning follows the discovery of bacterial contamination in certain batches of the product. Consumers have been advised to avoid using the water and to dispose of any existing stock immediately to prevent any health risks.
The FSQC emphasized that the contamination could pose a serious threat to public health, particularly to individuals with compromised immune systems, the elderly, and children.
