Agricultural Investment Opportunities Launched In Al Buraimi Governorate

AL BURAIMI: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, has announced the launch of six new agricultural investment opportunities in Al Buraimi Governorate. These initiatives are part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance food security, optimize land use, and encourage private sector investment in modern agricultural projects.

The newly announced projects will focus on innovative and sustainable agricultural practices, including hydroponics, greenhouse farming, and smart irrigation techniques. These efforts align with Oman’s Vision 2040, which prioritizes economic diversification and the efficient utilization of natural resources. The government aims to attract local and international investors to contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector, ensuring long-term sustainability and productivity.

Al Buraimi Governorate was selected due to its strategic location, availability of arable land, and favorable climatic conditions for agricultural activities. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources emphasized that these projects will create job opportunities for Omanis, support local farmers, and introduce advanced farming technologies that can increase crop yield and reduce water consumption.

Interested investors are encouraged to submit their proposals through the designated online platforms, where detailed information about each opportunity is provided. The ministries involved will facilitate the investment process, offering necessary incentives and technical support. This initiative is expected to significantly boost the agricultural sector, reinforcing Oman’s commitment to sustainable development and food security.
