
DUBAI: Dubai is set to experience a pleasant Sunday with cool temperatures and partly cloudy skies across most parts of the UAE. The Met Office has issued a dust alert in internal areas of Abu Dhabi and warned of rough seas offshore in the Arabian Sea. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with some eastern and northern regions expecting light rainfall and a decrease in temperatures.
Maximum temperatures in the internal regions of the country are expected to range from 25 to 29°C. Coastal areas and islands will see temperatures between 24 and 28°C, while the mountains will have cooler temperatures ranging from 16 to 20°C.
By night and Monday morning, humidity will rise in some internal areas. Expect moderate to fresh winds, which will be strong at times over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand over land, particularly in the Southwest to Northwest direction at speeds of 10 to 25 km/hr, reaching up to 50 km/hr.
The weather bureau has issued an alert for the Arabian Gulf, forecasting rough to very rough conditions with wave heights reaching 9 feet offshore from 3 am Sunday until 10 am Monday. Oman Sea will be relatively calm to moderate, becoming rough at times by night.
