
Muscat: 14 Dec (ONA) —— President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus arrived in Muscat today on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, lasting several days. During the visit, he will meet with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, led the reception for the Belarusian President and his delegation at the Royal Airport, extending a warm welcome and wishing them a fruitful and pleasant stay.

The Belarusian President was welcomed by Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority and Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying the guest, along with Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih, Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation and non-resident Ambassador to Belarus. The reception also included Andrei Luchenok, Belarusian non-resident Ambassador to Oman, and members of the Mission of Honour.
Accompanying the Belarusian President on this visit is an official delegation comprising Viktor Lukashenko, his son and President of the Olympic Committee, Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Efimov, Minister of Industry, Anatoly Linevich, Minister of Agriculture and Food, and Sergei Terentiev, Belarusian non-resident Ambassador to Oman.
An official reception ceremony for the guest will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at Al Alam Palace. Additionally, Oman and Belarus will hold an official session of talks chaired by His Majesty the Sultan and the Belarusian President, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various fields.
